The Palm Pre Black is sleek, shiny and glossy, with an all-Black body, so you can’t help but marvel at the designing. The screen is actually pretty huge, at 3.1 inches with a resolution of 320x 480 pixels. It even has an Accelerometer, so the brightness adjusts itself, according to the surroundings. Right next to the screen, you have a Back button, which can be easily mistaken for a navigation trackball; however, it is the navigation area around the button that is touch sensitive, and glows when you place your finger on it, to move across the menus.
The screen itself is also very tactile and you can scroll, choose applications, and change screens, with the ease you usually find reserved only for an iPhone. The phone runs on the usual Palm Web Operating platform like other Palm phones. The home screen lets you put 5 shortcut icons on the desktop that are customizable, so you can select the ones you need most. You have a 3.5 mm headset jack for your headphones/ headset (included in the box) and a micro USB port (2.0) so you can easily connect to your PC and transfer data at very high speeds. The TTY and Hearing Aid compatibility (rated M4) make the phone an ideal communication tool.
Bluetooth technology
The Bluetooth technology connects you wirelessly to accessories like your car kit, and even lets you transfer pictures, music and other data, to and from, your phone and other compatible devices.
