T-Mobile took its time in adding this phone to its list but it is definitely worth the wait. The cell has a high quality music player and a high resolution camera. The 5610 comes in a flashy and sleek slider design and has a world phone support. The launch of the cell is good news for music phone lovers as the controls are not as complicated as those in competition. The Nokia 5610 comes with 3.2 mega pixel camera, external music controls and beveled edges.

Design
The attractive and distinctive 5610 Red is a slider phone with state of the art navigation controls. It is definitely an upgrade to the 5310 model and it also feels comfortable to hold the cell in the palm of your hand. The 2.2 inch LCD display supports 16 million colors and razor sharp graphics. You can always change the font size and color.
There is a one touch access to the music functions. If you slide the bar to the left you will get the music player menu and if you slide the bar to the right you get the FM radio. There is a five way toggle for central navigation and once you open up the music player the toggle becomes the control for managing the tunes. The shortcut options in 5610 red are varied and many. When the phone is in standby mode, the left soft key opens up a shortcut menu that gives the toggle a one touch access to four-user defined features. There are few onscreen shortcuts as well.
The toggle keys are surrounded by two soft keys and Talk and End Power keys. The cell itself has bright backlight and there is no problem of misdials under poor lighting conditions. On the right spine of the 5610 are the volume control and the camera control. The micro USB jack and the cell’s charger port are on the top spine of the 5610 Xpress Music. On the back of the 5610, you will find the camera lens, flash and a speaker. The photos can be taken even without opening the phone. This is a great advancement from the earlier music models of Nokia. The micro SD card slot is safely tucked away behind the battery compartment.
Multimedia
The 5610 Xpress Music can be personalized with light effects, themes, wallpapers and animations. These actually make the cell look more trendy and stylish. You can obviously download more from T-Mobile’s T-Zone services with the help of the WAP 2.0 browser. The set has a few demo games like Guitar Hero III, Dance Revolution, Dance et al. You can buy the full versions after trying out the demo versions on the cell itself.
You can shoot videos with sound in three different resolutions. The 5610 can also be used as a still camera. So this should excite the teenagers who are always clicking away their cell phones. The camera shoots at 15 frames per second while the camcorder shoots at 30 frames per second. Thus the picture quality is always good. There is also the auto focus function which is an integral part of any modern day camera. If you want prints of your favorite snaps then you can always connect your phone to the PC via Bluetooth, USB cable or the memory card.
The memory space in 5610 Xpress Music is a good 20 MB which is enough to store some of your best snaps. The memory is expandable to 8 GB with the micro SD cards.
The 5610 is actually a better version than 5310 in the sense that it has a 3.2 mega pixel camera. It is capable of taking JPEG pictures in six different resolutions. The different available camera settings are Three quality modes, Three color effects, Night mode, Landscape mode, Self – timer, Sequence mode for shooting six rapid photos etc.
Music Player
The music player is similar to that of 5310 but definitely a notch better. Features such as airplane mode, stereo widening and shuffle play gives a new dimension to listening to music. You can also choose color skins which is a new feature for those who had been using the 5310 or similar sets. MP3, MP4 and AAC tracks can be played with ease and iTunes can be set as ring tones.
Bluetooth 2.0 and USB connectivity is present for faster file exchange between the PC and the cell phone
So it can be safely inferred that 5610 is actually an improvement upon 5310 though the two phones have some similar features. But the similarity only ends there, The 5610 Xpress Music for T – Mobile is definitely a different class altogether and should be a sure hit with music phone lovers.
