The phone’s uniqueness lies in its ultra slim and delicate frame and sleek styling. The phone comes with the wonder feature of the Push-to-talk through which users can take advantage of the Group, Direct, and International Direct Connect, Direct Talk and Direct Send features. GPS support comes for navigational services along with Geo-Tagging features. For some fun on-the-run there is a 1.3 mega pixel digital camera and camcorder, Bluetooth for streaming music and video clips, and an in-built memory of 70 MB that can be plumped up with a further 8 GB worth of space.

Just like its name, the Motorola Debut i856 makes a splashing debut in the phone market scene. The first iDEN network phone to come armed with the push-to-talk technology, the debut is a slider style phone. The device measures 4.2 inches in length and 2 inches in width. The phone weighs a mere 3.1 ounces and is light enough to be grasped in your hand or slipped into pockets.
The Debut comes in a shiny black sheen with a bright red keypad. The phone’s display screen boasts of more than 65,000 colors for clear graphics and vibrant colors. What’s more, you can fix the size of the screen according to your wish. The bottom of the screen displays nine shortcuts to various functions on the phone. The navigation bar, also housed at the bottom of the screen, consists of navigation keys, talk, send and end buttons, music player and menu buttons. The navigation toggle located in the middle of the bar acts as a shortcut to four functions on the phone. The i856e comes with a 600 strong phone book entry along with seven entries per person. Now that’s a lot of contacts packed into one phone.
Push-to-Talk Feature
The Motorola i856 Debut comes with the ever efficient and useful Push-to-Talk technology. At just the push of a button or a key you can connect to several of your contacts and talk to them all at once, thanks to the Group and Direct Connect service. The Direct Connect function lets you connect to as many as 20 contacts and hold a conference call all at once. The Direct Connect service puts you in touch with your business associates or friends with just a push of a button. And for globetrotters, this service also works in the form of an International Group Connect service through which you can talk to all your contacts just the way you would back home.
Music Feature
Now you can not only listen to your favorite tracks on your Motorola Debut but you can also sort tracks into albums, songs, artists, and even genres. The phone supports podcasts too. The music player comes with controls located at the bottom of a visualizer which is great for watching videos. The screen comes with three different orientations. The 1.3 mega pixels digital camera offers users six different resolutions to shoot photos.
