The LG Xenon Red Cellular Phone for AT&T
The Xenon, a recently released phone from LG labs is quite possibly one of the best phones available in the market today. Combining the features of a touch screen phone and a personal digital assistant, this is one of those devices that come along only rarely. Heavily loaded with entertainment and communication software, it is compatible with AT&T’s 3G service (also known as HSDPA), and paired with their MEdia net service, provides just about all the capabilities one expects from a handheld entertainment device. With an inbuilt 2.0 megapixel camera, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth capabilities and ability to play just about any sort of media file you choose, this is definitely a good choice for those who like to take their world with them.

Product Description
The LG Xenon (Red) Design
LG Xenon is a smooth, comfortable to hold rectangular device that, thanks to the LG design team, is also quite pretty to look at. A large, colorful and bright screen is the first thing to greet you, and the discreet set of buttons at the bottom promises a startling ease of use.
The Xenon is one of the first cellular phones not to get carried away by the concept of touch sensitive technology; while it does boast a large, colorful touch screen, LG had enough foresight to realize that this might not be enough. The QWERTY keyboard (slide out) therefore comes as a pleasant surprise, since then the entire screen can be used as a display instead of it being crowded with a virtual keyboard as well. The 2.8 inch screen is complemented by a trio of buttons right below which include two Send/End keys, as well as a dedicated menu button. The setup is convenient and intuitive, and for the more intensive emailing and web browsing, there is the four line keyboard that slides out below.
An interesting design feature is that of haptic feedback; the phone lets you know when you’ve touched an icon with a discreet vibrate function, and with the inbuilt accelerometer, the phone is also clued in enough to automatically rotate the screen when you turn the phone sideways.
Core Features
The LG Xenon comes with 80 MB of inbuilt memory, which at the outset gives you space for 500 contacts. Each entry can store up to five numbers, two email addresses and a picture ID. As with most other phones of this caliber, the Xenon allows you to assign ringtones to a particular contact as well. Keeping in mind that some folks use their phone more than others, LG made it possible for the memory to be expanded to 16 GB via micro SD cards as well. Other basic features are the calculator, world clock, tip calculator, notes function, alarm clock and stopwatch, among others.
Communication and Connectivity
This phone touts itself as a high end personal computing and communications device, and with the wide array of features packed into the phone, that’s a believable boast. It comes preloaded with three instant messenger services (Windows Live, AIM and Yahoo!), and the inbuilt web browser, partnered with AT&T’s MEdia net service, allows you to send and receive emails, check the news, get weather updates and a lot more. The vast memory available also makes this an ideal device for carrying around those ultra important but voluminous business files. With the QWERTY keyboard sending text messages is really easy and multi-media messaging is another great feature that you can take advantage of.
Bluetooth is also enabled on this phone, and with space to store up to 20 pairings, this phone can connect to just about any group of devices you choose – all at the same time. Profiles included allow for hands free kits, pairing to headphones and other speaker devices and connecting to other phones as well.
Various voice / data /messaging plans (including unlimited data plans, Media services plans, GPS plans, and Video Share plans) from AT&T are well supported by LG Xenon Red. You can check out these plans and go for those that best suit your needs.
GPS for Navigation
GPS support (add-on plan) is available through AT&T Navigator that speaks out the directions for you – making it extra convenient for you. Turn-by-turn directions are provided which means that you cannot lose your way no matter where you are.
Camera
The 2.0 megapixel camera is a beauty, and allows for a large degree of customization with four resolution modes, white balance settings, night mode for amplifying ambient light, and a whole array of secondary features such as multi-shot settings and digital zoom. Pictures and videos once taken can be stored on the phone, transferred to a paired device via Bluetooth and also sent via MMS services.
Trendy, sleek, and colorfully designed, the LG Xenon is one of those phones that delivers more than expected. Even though this phone is pitched merely as an advanced messenger, it would be selling this phone short to believe it only does that. Whether it comes to music from its inbuilt speaker or web browsing on its touch screen, this device continues to excel in almost any area you care to choose.
